This study investigates the "Nichigo Gakko", a modern private school in Korea, which was established by a nongovernment Japanese individuals. The "Nichigo Gakko" was founded by Japanese, in order to establish general education with Japanese language before colonization in 1910. This paper reconsiders such a school as an early type of Korean modern school, and clarified what kind of Korean modern school had been planned by Japanese.
